Trunk Shows in April! |
Bazaar Girls in Port Townsend April 5, 6, 7 and 8.
We’re out of our minds excited to meet Bristol Ivy, Beth Brown-Reinsel, and Ann Budd at the Getaway Retreat 2018! During the retreat we will bring yarns, patterns, and fiber to offer in this incredible shop on the shore of Port Townsend. We always feel like family and don’t want to leave… |
The Tea Cozy in Ballard, Saturday April 14.
This will be our first time at The Tea Cozy – and we are thrilled to be invited to set up a display and share our luxury hand-dyed and hand-crafted local yarns and patterns from local designers. Jorstad is a Scandinavian name, adopted from the small community of Jorstad Creek on Hood Canal. Since Ballard has its roots in the local fishing economy and proudly claims its own Scandinavian heritage, we are going to feel right at home! |
Ewe and I Yarn Shop in Chehalis April 28.
We join our friends at Ewe and I at the end of April to display our yarns and spinning fiber. The focus is on “doodle cakes” while Sherri teaches the Doodle Shawl pattern on the same day. Doodle knitting is freestyle knitting, using the German short row technique to knit hills, valleys, and layers of color. We love this project! To create the yarn we paint blocks of color in a specific sequence onto “sock blanks” to make long runs a certain length that work perfectly on this project. There is limited space in the dye class, so email us right away at jorstadcreek@comcast.net if you are interested in the dye class. Contact Ewe and I directly for the shawl class. |
